My fiance has a tux. I am not sure if it is good enough for the wedding. How do I know? It looks ok, but I dont really know about this stuff. Also, how far in advance does he have to look for the vests/ties for him and his bridal party? Any suggestions on where to get that stuff? What does the ring bearer usually wear? A tux as well? Does he wear the same color tie/vest? I know nothing about the guys stuff!!!

Your FH could wear his tux if he wanted to, but then you might have a hard time getting the GM's to match.
My FH is planning to do tuxes at Men's Wearhouse so it's easier for the guys. I *think* you can do them 2-3 months before the wedding. And yes, ring bearers wear tuxes too

I agree that getting tuxes for the groomsmen to wear that are going to match your fhs really well is going to be difficult.
im not sure about places out where you are to get tuxes but mabye do a post just asking for girls who are in suffolk where they got their tuxes.
yeah i always hear that 4 months or less up until like 1 month before is fine for tuxes.

Whether he wears his own or rent one the same as the gm depends on how much you care whether they are identical or not. The cut, and even the color, may be off. As far as vests/ties goes, again you can do whatever you'd like. It's more common for the groom's to be different than the gm in order to differentiate (as well as a different boutteniere). The most common vest/tie combos are the groom wearing white, and the gm in either black or the color that matches the bridesmaid dresses. Hope this helps!

Also for the ring bearers: ours will be young (3 years old), and our other 2 nephews will be 20 months (they won't be in the wedding but we want them around for photos) - instead of tuxes, we're getting little white suits with shorts and a jacket and bowtie that they will wear with little white kneesocks. They are SO adorable, and I thought would be a lot cuter for a spring wedding!

I would suggest going to a place with FH's tux in tow (maybe a pic of him in it) and see if any other tuxes will go nicely with it. I would suggest Mens Wearhouse b/c of their selection and vast locations - if your GMs are spread out. Dante's is a good chain in the NY area...not sure where their other locations are. My FH and his GMs will prob go 4 months before the wedding. We won't have a RB, but they usually wear the same tux as the GMs.
