QUESTIONS FOR PAST BRIDES...

QUESTIONS FOR PAST BRIDES...

Ok so I'm 10 weeks away..and FREAKING OUT!!!! I have a few questions for you past brides, and hope you all can help me out here:

First and foremost...
1. Where the heck did the time go??? Is it me..or did EVERYONE feel like their day came REALLY fast once you hit the 6 month mark?

2. Is there anything I need to do...aside from the general things. So far, I've done everything but order the favors (which are custom M&M's), and I haven't purchased my shoes or crinoline.

I know there is alot more to do..but I can't think right now. I didn't want to only refer to the general listing given...so I figured who better to ask than the Brides who've done this already??

Please....help.

you won't believe how fast the time will go. just take it one day at a time. the shoes you'll need for your first fitting. i don't think they'll do the fitting without the shoes

Yes, it goes very quickly. I actually ended up running out of time for some if the DIY things I wanted to do, but I only had 6 months to plan and many of my DIY projects were a little .... ambitious.

Order your shoes if you know what you want. The next season's stuff will come out soon. As far as your crinoline...why is your bridal shop not taking care of that with you?

OK In the next weeks try to write everything down. Everything, how you want the napkins, details for ceremony, things you need to tell various vendor (Such as do not play lists for DJ, Must haves for Photographer), etc. Trust me when I say write it down b/c some detail may come up & you'll think,...Oh I have to remember to do or tell such & such later & then you forget. Nothing personal....but we are busy when we are planning! Also write down all of the times that you want things to happen. (ie...make-up & hair at 7 am...dressed by 9 am....pictures between 9:30 - 10:30...drive to ceremony 10:30 - 11...etc.) I know it sounds anal, but a lot of people will be asking you times during the next few weeks & if it is written down then everyone will get the same information & there will be no confusion. Also make sure that your photographer & Videographer get the time schedule as well....for they will need it too.

Also make sure to know EXACTLY where the $$ situation is, including all the tips. Begin to arrange tip envelopes & put little post-its of exactly how much should go inside each.

Pack you emergency kit for the day of....and also begin to pack for your HM. It will be a lot to think of everything to pack when you are scrambling at the last minute to do the wedding stuff.

MOST OF ALL RELAX! (I know it sounds hypocritical, but try) The planning should not stress you to the point where the day becomes about the plan. It will come down to you& your new DH enjoying a celebration!

Re: QUESTIONS FOR PAST BRIDES...

Time goes fast- way too fast! So ENJOY every moment of it...

For me, packing early was a big thing- I left a suitcase out in another room and every time I remembered I needed to bring something I would throw it in (if I didnt need it) OR I would write it down and then go to the store to get it all. I hate going away and saying OOPS I forgot ...'whatever it is'

REMEMBER TO PACK airline tickets-I forgot this and it could have cost me lots of $$$ if my cousin didnt drive them to me-and we were there early which helped..

DO you have someone to bring you to and from the airport for the honeymoon?

***what was cool was that we gave our friend our video camera and he taped various parts of the night-while waiting at the airport we watched our video (of course on the small screen) but it was so nice to see and let time go by a bit quicker. If you have the capability this was nice!

Get a massage right before- My mom and I went two days before the wedding and it was well-needed and so relaxing. We both felt like brand new. Last few days can be stressful.

ENJOY IT!

Edited for spelling- MAssage not Message...WHOOPS
