Do ladies have any questions that are must ask? I know to ask about how long and the items in the package I want. But what else?

Re: Questions for Photgrapher
Definitely ask who has the rights to your photographs and will you receive original or edited versions in large format on dvd? When? Will they be watermarked? Can you have your own prints made?
As long as you are permitted to make your own prints from the images you're in good shape. You just don't want it to take 5 years for you to get the right to do that. (unless you're kinda a slow turn-around couple... in which case by all means...)

You should maybe ask if they have pictures of other weddings at your RH so you can get an idea of how well they know your RH.

I agree with the above questions!
Also ask who will be taking your pictures.. You want to make sure you are comfortable with the person since you will have to work with him/her all day long.
And find out how many pictures they guarantee and how long it will take to get them.
when asking about who has rights to the pics, make sure it's all pics (I found one place that only gives you the rights to the ones in your album)
Are all pictures edited? will they do additional editing at your request?
I am also having a ZAP photographer from the DJ, so we asked if they had any issues/ comments/ problems/ etc with that.

Re: Questions for Photgrapher
Def get all the pricing on contract for ea. make sure if you book a package, it list everything/services it includes- 10 hr. photography/video, 11x14 album w/ 60 images, video editing, montage, e-pics, etc. The contract should list the pricing as well as what the package includes and the names of your photographer/camera man along with the dates and time of your venue. I would also ask the photographer for samples of his work to get an idea of his style as well as how long he's been working (normally you would want something with more than 3+) as well as how many weddings he's done, same with the camera man and if you can view any samples of the wedding video. Before you book the package, let them know any effects, details- photo montage, music, extra albums, engraving, etc. included. I found out the hard way after our wedding, we were charged extra for our raw footage and photo montage for our video since we didn't ask them to put it in our contract.

Re: Questions for Photgrapher
I agree with everything everyone has said but very important-ANYTHING and EVERYTHING should go in a contract. So if they have you signing one or you print one for them, feel free to have them write on the things you discuss.
Also definitly ask how many photographers you get for the price-- do you have to pay additional $$ for assistants. You will probably need at least one assistant to help with the equipment, etc.
