Questions for RH?

I have a meeting and a tasting at my RH. I am trying to put together a list in advance of questions I want to ask them. What are some good ones? I know I am going to forget something!

what exactly is the meeting in reference to?
did they give you menu choices already?

Jericho Terrace Food Tasting November 26, 2006 3:00 p.m.

1.) Can we have the reception in the same room that we exchange our vows in?



2.) Can we have round tables? Can we have 8/10/12 guests per table?


3.) Can we eliminate the dais?


4.) Do you provides placecards and number the tables?


5.) How will our guests be retrieved from the cocktail hour and expedited to the reception hall?


6.) Who is responsible and/or available to put center pieces on the tables as well as set up a table for the guest book signing for our reception?



7.) We are considering a slideshow presentation for the duration of our reception. How can we go about setting that up? Is there anyone available to help us?




8.) If there are items we would like to keep after the reception, how do we go about retrieving them? Are they set aside or should we ask somebody to get them together for us before we leave the reception house?



9.) Is there security on premises?


10.) How will our guest be ushered into our wedding/reception upon arrival?




11.) Do you have facilities and/or refrigeration to store flowers? Can we have the flowers delivered the day before the ceremony?



12.) Do all wedding parties in house at the same time share the bridal suite?


13.) Is there a room available for the grooms party to prepare for the ceremony?


14.) what time should the wedding party be available to rehearse before the actual wedding ceremony?


15) Has the ceremony room been blessed for religious ceremonies?


16.) What is the difference in price for an afternoon wedding as opposed to an evening wedding? In season and out of season?


17.) Will we be told about menu changes before our reception? If so, how much in advance will we be notified?


18) Are table linens and chair covers included in the price of the reception package.

Here's what I have on my list:

* Linen colors
* Confirm remaining payment schedule
* Check all tables (ie: sweetheart, cake, table for slipper basket, etc) to confirm size & make note of any decorations you are planning for these tables
* Confirm space for bathroom basket
* Confirm when to drop off stuff for reception

Here's what I have on my list:

*confirm payment form (i.e. only cashiers check or money order- usually no personal checks are accepted)-
*make sure place cards are in alphabetical order by LAST name.
*tell them if you DJ/ Band is planning anything special
*go over DETAILED timeline of your entire affair
*confirm who will be helping you day of from RH (i.e. captian or matre d)
*give them all your vendor information,. phone contact name, etc-and tell them to coordinate load in times to the hall
*where you want and how you want your favors set up
*what time you are really arriving at the hall
*ask if they have anything to offer guests when they first arrive-(*if waiting for cereomy) such as sparkling water
*how many waitstaff per guest ratio
*what liquor brands are they using
*how light or dark you want the lights during reception
* do you want guests to have beer bottles, r pour into glasses
*if your guests have any special needs- (wheelchair access, etc. & Bathrooms too)
* dietary issues, or special meals (kosher?)
* cake- if you are not getting it from them is there a cutting fee? or will they serve? (they should serve if you are replacing their cake with yours at no charge
