questions for the Swan Club girls

questions for the Swan Club girls

I have questions for the SC ladies. We meant to visit them this weekend, but we never got there! We're planning on going there next weekend before we make our final decision on RH. Have any of you seen the smaller of the rooms? We're only having 100-120 people and I want to get an idea of how the room looks in person. The photos online aren't doing it justice! What's the decor like? Where is the dance floor (middle, front?) Also, where is the cocktail hour for the smaller room?
TIA girls!

Re: questions for the Swan Club girls

My cousin had the smallest room. There is an area that you walk up 2 stairs and they have about 6 tables up there and the couple is seated in the middle. You go down the 2 steps and your dance floor is right there and you have 4-6 tables on the sides. That was the best wedding I have been at at the SC. I was also at a friends wedding in the next size up room, we walked in from the outside. So when you walk in there is tables, dont remember how many. You walk down 2 steps and there are some tables to your right of the dance floor, a few and that is where they have the couple as well and then to left of the dance floor was @ 6 tables. Personally I like my cousin's room better. She had @120 and my friend had @ 150.

thanks daizes! that's a great description b/c I totally couldn't tell where the dance floor was from the photos! do you happen to remember where your cousin's cocktail hour was? we are having our ceremony there and i heard from someone that the CH was in the same place as the ceremony! I can't imagine how the set up of CH wouldn't interfere with the ceremony, if that's the case!

edited, as always for a typo

For my friend she had her ceremony outside in the cover bridge like thing, dont know the name and also the CH. I went to a wedding in the big room and they had th CH in the indoor are that looks like it is outside with 2 levels. My cousin lucked out that night, there were no other weddings.....so she had her ceremony in the big room, which I think is called the camelot room, CH in the indoor area that looks like it is outside.

so when your friend had the ceremony and cocktail hour in that enclosed outdoor space, how did that go? was it too much going on at once (like were they setting up for the CH during the ceremony)? or did it play out nicely?

Unfortunatley I did make it in time for the ceremony and just made it in time for the CH. I could ask her for you if you'd like.

I don't know how this plays out either however I feel like there was a post where someone explained it.

I'll look...

thank you soooo much. FH and I have a feeling we're going to LOVE IT there, but his main concern is the CH being in the same exact place as the ceremony and how that would turn out. also, does SC offer a bridal assistant?

Re: questions for the Swan Club girls

so i totally missed this post yesterday becausei was in some stupid class....

now i dont know if you got your answer or not, but look in my albums for pics of the carriage house (ceremony area), garden room, and camelot room, and the patio

You would probably fit best in the Garden room... but they may try to squeeze you into the Contessa instead.... The contessa room's ceremony is in the carriage house (i believe) and i know their CH is on the patio.... The garden room's ceremony is in the carriage house and it does have that turnover into the CH room... Camelot room has ceremony on the patio, and CH in that room its connected to

Any questions just FM me

-- Not sure about the assistant... I wanna say yes cuz i thought i heard that somewhere befroe but i may be confusing it with bathroom attendent

thanks Gina! I called today and spoke to Rob. I told him the size of our wedding and he said that 90% of the time, a wedding of my size would be in whatever room and the ceremony and CH would be in the same place! I know FH isn't going to go for it but Rob told me not to jump the gun and to go see them anyway because you never know how you're gonna feel about it til you see it.

They do offer a bridal assistant and if you have a choice I would go for the Contessa room because I love the outdoor cocktail area.

I wouldn't mind the Contessa room if I were having a lot of people because it would be nice as long as it's not too over crowded.
You might light The Garden room better because you will feel like your the only wedding there

FH really disliked the garden room.... i thought it was nice... its good that it has separate entrance and bathrooms!!! (that are prob better than the upstairs ones)

as you can see in my pics though, the room was a bit dark, but i loved how it had 2 levels, but fh wasnt having it.... he just needed that camelot room Haha

the contessa room is actually very pretty IMO... And I dont think the CH for contessa is out on that deck... jordana told me people rarely go out there.... the CH is on what they call the patio, which is in my album also

actually really sad that i know so much about all the other rooms in the place
