I dont have any really deep questions to add but what about:

Re: Questions for topping discussion
And if you would F__K a dog please do not admit it here on LIW. That is one of those 'no need to share' kinda things
-Do you believe that guilt can drive someone to a place that they never imagined? -Did she fail her sister? Is it 'her' fault that her sister felt unloved and unwanted by everyone in her life, therefore allowing a man to physically and mentally torture her just so you would not be 'alone'?
-Do you really KNOW your sisters/brothers? Not 'are they sleeping with live stock' but would you know if they needed you because their life was out of control?

Do you think Nora and Ian had a chance at a lasting relationship?

Did you believe that Ian was involved in the murder?

Re: Questions for topping discussion
M said that Nora and Franny were like the opposite sides of a coin but had the same core (or something along those lines). Do you agree or disagree?

Re: Questions for topping discussion
I just thought it was completely unrealistic, that Nora would get that close to her sister's #1 murder suspect. Regardless of whether you want to get to the bottom of her murder, who could really do that? And then think you're falling in love with him?? I guess it's possible, just very unlikely IMO.
I did think that Ian was the murderer - once the whole wood carving thing was mentioned. I guess the author did that intentionally to throw us off a little.
more in a few....
