Questions on thank you notes for bridal shower

1) Should FH sign the thank you for the bridal shower or just the bride?

2) If you got three separates gifts from three different people living in the same household- do you still send three thank you's or just one??

3) Should you specify the gift (i.e. cooking sheet) or is it okay to keep it general?

1) Should FH sign the thank you for the bridal shower or just the bride? I answered most of them. he signed a few cards to his aunts and sister in law.

2) If you got three separates gifts from three different people living in the same household- do you still send three thank you's or just one?? if they live together, I would send them 1 'nice' card. (not from a box of thank you's, I would buy a full size card.)

3) Should you specify the gift (i.e. cooking sheet) or is it okay to keep it general? I specified the gift they bought for us. it's more personal that way

ETA: sorry... I thought you said 1 gift from 3 people in the same house. if it was 3 seperate gifts, definitely send 3 cards.

I thinkif the shower was given for you, then you should sign the thank you's and not him. You can include his name in the message like:

'I would like to thank you for the cookie sheet. John and I look forward to baking together!'

1) Should FH sign the thank you for the bridal shower or just the bride?
My DH did not sign any TY's. I signed them and mentioned him.

2) If you got three separates gifts from three different people living in the same household- do you still send three thank you's or just one??
Well, since they were 3 separate gifts from 3. separate people (as opposed to one 'big'gift that they all chipped in for), yes, definitely send each individual their own TY card. Doesn't matter that they live in the same house...they're still different people.

3) Should you specify the gift (i.e. cooking sheet) or is it okay to keep it general?
Yes, it's a lot more personal and people really like to hear what you'll 'do' with their gift.

1. If you can get him to sign, I would do it.
2. Each gift warrants a separate thank you note.
3. Yes, reference the specific gift received. It makes the note more personal.
