Questions to ask limosine companies

We're going to book a limo hopefully in the next day or 2. What are some questions we need to ask the company?

Also what do we need to make sure is in the contract?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Questions to ask limosine companies

I just booked with Royalty Limos, but some of the questions I asked were:

What is the penalty for canceling?
What does the package include(i.e Church runner, champagne, etc..)
What is the charge for overtime?

I pretty much ask about anything that I was unsure of.

Here's my list:

Are there hourly vs. flat rate fees?

Are tips included in the flat rate or hourly rate?

What credit cards are accepted?

How much notice is required if forced to cancel?

If forced to cancel, is there a monetary penalty?

If not satisfied with courteousness of driver, can tips be taken off of bill?

Can you get a written confirmation of booking faxed or e-mailed to you?

Does the limousine company answer phones 'live' (no machines or answering service) 24 hours?

Are company and drivers adequately insured? Can you have proof of insurance faxed to you?

What is your process for screening drivers?

Does the state in which you are renting a limousine require a company/driver to obtain special licensing and/or bonding?

Does the limousine company belong to any industry or business organizations?

Maximum number of passengers allowed for quoted rate?

Is there a charge for additional stops?

Request disclosure of all possible add-on charges to final bill.

Must tolls or parking fees be paid in cash or can they be included on the bill?

What is the company policy for handling grievances?

What sets you apart from other limousine companies?

Re: Questions to ask limosine companies

One important question I didn't see anyone mention was:
What happens in the event that a car breaks down or is not running properly? Before hand or on the day of your wedding?
It happens especailly with the antique cars.
