1) How many photographers are included 2) Will there be a lighting assistant 3) Do packages include engagement shoot, portraits, parent albums, and thank you cards. 4) What is the payment plan. 5) How many hours will they be with you for 6) Will they come to your house for pictures 7) Do they do traditional photos and photojournalism 8) Do they use black and white, color, and seppia 9) Is it digital cameras or film ( if that's important to you) 10) Ask to see an album from start to finish 11) How many weddings does the company do a day. 12) Ask to speak to the photographer you would be working with and have them show you their work. 13) Do they do touch ups like teeth whitening 14) Have they taken pictures at the place where you are getting married. If not they will not know all the great places to take pictures.
Most importantly you are interviewing these people so ask yourself if you can be around your photographer for 10 hours and enjoy your wedding. I have seen photographers who had good work but were sooo irritating!

here's what we asked:
Equipment What kind of camera do you use (35mm vs. medium format) Do you use wireless equipment How many cameras do you use Do you bring any backup equipment? What will you do if you are sick and unable to shoot the wedding?
Photos/Negatives/Film How many exposures will you take at my wedding? Is there a limit on the number of exposures or your time? What is the size of the proofs? Do I get to keep all of them? I would like the negatives. Can you fulfill this request? How long will you keep the negatives? Do you shoot in black & white, color or both? If you shoot with a digital camera will the prints be of archival quality? If you shoot with black and white fillm, do you do your own developing?
