I am not sure if this is correct but this is what we plan on doing. If the child is over the age of 16 they will get their own invitation and if they are under the age of 16 the invitation will say Mr. & Mrs. J. Doe & Family or The Doe Family.

we did mr & mrs and Family if kids were under 12 years old -- over 12 years old, we sent them their own invitation -- over 16 years old, they got their own invitation + invited with a guest...not sure if that is right, but that is what we did

lower or upper 'and/And'??

I'm doing Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Family on the outer.. And listing everyone Aunt Sue, Uncle Bob, Jenny and Jake on the inner ..

On my outers I addressed it to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Smith and on the inners I addressed it to Mr. and Mrs. Smith and then line below I listed the child's name (no last name). HTH!

my issue is...a single mom with son but she can also bring a guest. i'll put both guest and child on inner.
