quick advice needed for a long story!

Please help me...

I just got word that my cousin is in the hospial for what they think is a brain tumor- fatal.... It's been a long painful road for him and he's only 24. In and out of hospitals and they finaly 'caught' his problem. They originally thought he had cronis (splled it wrong I know) disease or MS because he lost all control of his limbs and could barely walk with a cane. Now he's been in a lot of pain and can't move at all and the catscans have shown a mass on his brain that wasn't there before. They are doing spinal taps etc. to make sure but they think it's a tumor and he won't have much time to live...

I need prayers and most of all some suggestion of something I can send to him (he's in Nevada) that is better than flowers- more meaningful. I have always thougt flowers are a nice jester but I want to give someone who may not have long to live such a big smile! He desserves it and needs it right now. He is the sweetest guy you can ever meet! I love him bunches and want to make him happy. I'm not too good at this so I am asking your help!

Lora

PS EDT for horrible spelling!

Not sure what to send, but wanted to say your family will be in my prayers.

How about a letter filled with pictures, telling him how special he is to you, perhaps with a teddy bear to hold when times get tougher.

Let him know you wish you could be there in person, but the bear will have to stand in.

Did he have any favorite things that you can think of? There's a website where you can send Care Packages . They have some already made up in different themes, or you can design your own. Or have someone sneak his favorite ice cream into the hospital. Or record your voice reading a story or poem and send it to him. Just some ideas.

My prayers are with you all!

OMG--I am so sorry to hear this horrible news that poor young man. I'm so sorry! I will be praying for him and your family.

As far as a gift, I think something personal would be really sweet, pictures or maybe a build a bear or vermont teddy bear of something that describes him! hope this helps. to you

I'm sorry about this. I wish you and your family the best.

I think a care package is a good idea. You can give little things that you know he'd enjoy.

I am sorry to hear this news. I have a cousin who went thru the same exact thing. After 4 long years lost his battle. He was 28. It is 2 years this month, since we said goodbye.
In my case I visited anytime he felt up to having company, as he was local and to help him feel better about the comfort his family recieved throughout the time, I took them out to lunch or dinner, whenever they looked like they needed it.
In your case what is he into? Is he in the hospital? Perhaps you can send items that would make it feel more comfortabel and less sterile if you will?
My heart goes out to you, your family and your cousin.
