I thought you could eat it rarely - like once a month? I could be wrong though....I'm eating a turkey sandwich as I type so you may not want to listen to me!

Don't eat too much tuna!!! It has mercury in it!!!!

Check with your OB!! I had a tuna sandwich once a week for nine months!! No probs for us!! But your doc will know better than we will about what he/she feels is okay for you and your growing one to consume!!

Try to stick with having predator fish (tuna, salmon) once a week. The mercury levels are high, andcould be damaging to your little beanie.
I had tuna once a week like clock work until around my 6th month when I got turned off by it.

I had read to avoid all deli meats but for me that's close to impossible since I'm such a picky eater.

So now I just make sure the place I'm eating is reputable and clean (so that hopefully they keep the temps of the meat right) and I still eat turkey sandwiches occasionally

My Dr told me once a week is fine. But I had it once and felt totaly guilty!

I think chicken salad is bland compared to tuna.
and I LLOOOVE tuna and ive been dying for a sandwich too. In my last preg, I had tuna once a week on and off, whenever I wanted.

Now with what was in the news, was it last month? that there may be higher levels of mercury than they thought, OBs are advising preggos to stay away from it altogether, if possible. Ask your Dr., see what they say.

I already told John thats what I want as soon as I give birth, a tuna sandwich on a whole wheat roll

They had a big thing on tuna salad and to stay away from it during pregnancy on the news a couple of months ago because of the mercury.

I am totally staying away from tuna.. I guess it's hard b/c I am a major tuna head.. =( It's soo worth it though..

I can have balsamic vinegar on ANYTHING!

sometimes at Subways, Id just ask for a little reg vinegar on it (if they didnt have balsamic), and theyd think I was weird but it gives it a little ZING. YUMMM, with lettuce, tomatoes and onion, and pickles or olives on the side

I always put red vinegar in my tuna. I can't wait to try balsamic!
