Quick gift question..

I want to get my mom/step-dad tickets to james taylor for their birthday's...

i can get pretty good seats, but they're a bit over my budget (which is pretty low as I have no job)

should i get them the better tickets and give them for mo day/fa day too? or get the cheaper tickets that i can afford?

I did this for my parents last year, and they sat pretty close. They said w/ some artists, it doesn't make a difference, but with him, there was a BIG difference!

I would definitely combine gifts. They'll understand. I've done that a lot. My mom's birthdat is near xmas, so if there's something big I want to buy her I tell her its for both, and then for xmas I'll still get her a little ornament or something.

If you feel bad not getting them anything for mohter's day and father's day, you can get your mom an inexpensive plant and you dad a tie or something, just as a token gift. But a nice card is always appreciated.
