Quick!! I need help! (opinions/advice wanted)

I just received the proofs for our invitations, and was wondering ... on our response card, we have: The favour of a reply is requested ... should it be favour or favor?? favour looks so weird to me, but if that`s the proper way .. so be it.

Hmmm... neither one is wrong...does that help? I prefer favor, favour seems to connote a more formal wedding but then again, my response card says: 'We look forward to celebrating with you - Please respond by ...' Good luck!! :)

Both are okay

My wedding is formal so 'favour' is what we put.

We are doing favour but ours is at 11:30 am on a sunday. I thought it was weird too but the woman told us thats the way most people do invites.

I put 'favour' because the invitation had '...request the honour of your presence...'

Thanks everyone!

It does look weird to me, but since it does appear to be common, I decided to leave it alone. Our invitations were worded: (bride`s parents) and (groom`s parents) invite you to share in the joy of the marriage uniting their children (bride) and (groom) This celebration of love will be on (day), the (date) of (month) Two thousand one at (time) in the afternoon (Church name) (Church street address) (Church town, state)
