i have a daytime wedding. it's formal but not black tie. my family is laughing at the british way of spelling these words. i just want to do what's best.

i swear these invites are making me crazy!

Either is correct...but I would prefer honour and favour because its more formal and proper

I ordered my invites and didn't even notice the British spelling until my FH noticed it and got m parents crazy over it....we went formal (but didn't even know it at the time)

I can't STAND favour and honour - I think it sounds silly, even though it's supposedly 'proper'. Do what you think sounds best.
