Quick Q re: response envelopes....

Were we supposed to put a return address on it?

We obviously had our address printed on it & put the stamp but we're getting responses from people that didn't put their return address & I'm wondering if WE were supposed to put ours on it.

Thx

No you are not supposed to put their address as far as I know.
They are supposed to fill in their names on the line on the response card so you know who is responding.
I am going to be numbering each response card according what number each guest is on my excel spreadsheet, this way if it comes back without a name, I'll still know who it's from.

We didn't put return addresses either. We also numbered them with our spreadsheet just in case.

glad to see i'm not the only spaz with a spreadsheet for this. we numbered ours...i don't even look at the names most of the time, just the number on the front and the number on the back.

some guests wrote their return address on there, some used return address labels and others did nothing. you aren't supposed to do that b/c hopefully when they were printed, the address was correct and legible so it gets back to you.

the only address on the rsvp envelope is ours.
we numbered the cards just to be safe.

You don't sound stupid at all.
If you have your guest list numbered..on the back of the response card write the number that corresponds to the number on your list. Like if Aunt Mary is #4 on your list, write a small 4 on the back of her response card..this way if she forgets to put her name on it you will know it was from her.
