Hair first, then makeup. If they need to wet your hair, you don't want to get your makeup ruined.

My make-up artist said she would put the airbrush foundation on first. Then I would get my hair done, and then she would finish the rest of my makeup.

A lot of times if you are having an updo they suggest that you don't wash your hair that morning but ask your hairdresser. Even if you wash your hair the night before I would still say hair first.

Both! The hair dresser put my hair up in rollers, then I got my makeup done, and then my hair was put up. :o)

Just be careful if you get your hair done first and the stylist puts your veil on you. You don't want to get makeup on your veil!

I did hair then makeup but if I were having a down do, I think you should do makeup then hair.

PS: Any hairdresser that tells you NOT to wash your hair on the day of the wedding is not a good hairdresser! Dirty hair makes styling easier but a good hairdresser shouldnt need this.

Thank you again everyone. You are all so knowledgeable.

One of the hairdressers (the guy I'm not using) told me to wash it the day before to save time since I have to be ready by 9am for the photographer.
