I am printing out my reception cards. My day of coord. told me to put a half hour before the party begins on them. What do you think and what did you do?

Re: quick question
for the party? as in reception, no i wouldnt do it for that, what happens with those guests who show up 30 mins early for CH and the room isnt ready and then they have to just stand around, my RH had a room for guests that showed up early but not many do and let me tell you that alot of ppl make sure to get to CH on time haha. Maybe ceremony if anything that makes more sense. I didnt do this though, i didnt want my guests who do show up even earlier than it says on the invite to wait around for an hour. Whomever was gonna be late i said SCREW THEM i am not gonna work around them haha. But thats me do what you feel comfortable doing with Ceremony time, how about 15 mins?

Re: quick question
I put 2:00 for the church time when I knew we were actually starting at 2:30 and it ended up working perfectly because people told me at 2 the church was EMPTY!! by 2:30 everyone was there .
For the cocktail hour and reception though I put the real time becasue my hall said that they wouldnt let people into the cocktail hour early so I didnt want them standing around.

Re: quick question
We got married at our RH. I put 11 o'clock but my RH told me to do that because they served drinks etc for a half hour before the ceremony started...this way, anyone who was late wasn't late for the ceremony. If you are getting married at a church, I would put 15 minutes before the actual ceremony time and the real time for the CH. Most people know that the CH starts at that exact time
