Quick question about addressing envelopes

Quick question about addressing envelopes

Morning girls. I'm starting to type out all my addresses and I just have a quick question do you put

Mr. John Smith and Guest OR

Mr. John Smith & Guest

Does it matter? I've been putting 'and' but my sister said she might do '&'

I think that's just a matter of personal preference. I did '&' i think

Thank you! I wasn't sure. I can't remember what my friends or family have written in the past so I guess it really doesn't matter.
