When you book flights through a travel agent, do you have to pay the full amount up front like if you were going direct to the airlines or orbitz, etc. or just a deposit?
i know the one i am dealing with the plane tickets must be paid in full and the room is only a deposit and with mine it is $300 because the room you can change the plane you can't

It depends on what the vendor (i.e. airline, hotel, tour agency) requires to hold your spot. Usually, for airlines you have to pay 100% up front but for hotels it is either the equivalent of one night, or possibly even nothing. Tour groups (like if you're doing a Perillo) have payment schedules you have to go by.
