Hey guys I am taking precana in a few weeks. The priest told me i need my baptism certificate to get married etc...but i am wondering, is it needed for precana classes?

not for the precana, he may just need it to get the papers together in preparation for your wedding.

It's not needed for pre-cana. Our church just said to bring it with us the day of the rehearsal.

nope..and u can go get ur baptism paper now cause its under 6 months..i just got mine last week

that could be a issue...i had to go to queens boulevard and i thought that was a pan in the a$$

Where and when are you taking precana?
We are going soon too. I think August something in Douglaston.

UH.. I think that's a definate possibility!! I THINK That was the date we are booked for as well. Is it a Fri and a Sat?
Are you doing Douglaston?
If so that is where we will be. And that date sounds just about right. It was either a teen number or a 20 number. And def a Fri and Sat.
Donna - this could make precana more fun to look forward to!!!

It would make sense though... I mean we did run into eachother at Antica!!
Which BTW - FH wanted to have last night... so I let him talk me into it!! I'm dieting so that was bad... but soooo goood!!!!

We didn't need it for ours. Just ourselves!
Precana is *supposed* to be open to anyone...even if both are non-catholic.

No not for pre cana, but you do need an updated certifcate to give to the Church.
