Quick question about Thank You's

Quick question about Thank You's

After all the bs with my photographer I am going to keep the thank yous. We didn't order the ones with the photo insert but that is what we got.

So I have a question, do you have to write each persons name on the thank you or just sign our names on the bottom where the printed thank you note is. I thought I would have to write each person who gave a gifts name on the blank side and then sign it.
If I am not writing anything additional what do I do?

This is what I just started doing! I think I may get carpul tunnel from writing out my TYs!We had so many guests, so I'm trying to commit to doing 10 per night. So far I have 10 done!

This is what I did too. DH flipped when he saw how much I was writing, but I think I just covered the basics.

I did the same thing!

BTW...you said 'we'...I'm so jealous that seems to indicate that your husband helped. When I asked my husband to help with some of his side's thank you's he said 'No'. When I told him that I wasn't going to do them for his side he said 'Fine, then they won't get them' Of course, I did them all because I didn't want to look bad. His only job was to check and make sure that they all had stamps and we already got two back without postage!!

Us too...but the guests were really thankful and the ones that called to thank me for their TY card said they loved getting a message that related to just them...

Lucky, lucky. I wrote 130+ myself - and personalized each and every one. They went out 2 weeks ago. I told DH he at least has to write for his BM, his brother. I do not believe he's sent it out yet.
It was very frustrating to try and personalize the ones to his people since some were work colleagues I never met, and his parent's friends were even more difficult.

I'm so happy that I am not alone!! (I thought that I was a big pushover for doing all of them) My favorite part was when I had no idea who people on my husband's side were and I asked him whether I should write 'Mr. & Mrs. So&So' or 'Jane and ****' and he said 'I don't know'.

Re: Quick question about Thank You's

No offense, but it would only take a few extra minutes to write a little something in addition to the pre-printed thank you note. I almost think it wouldn't be worth it to send a TY if you only plan on writing the guests name and your own and relying on the pre-printed note--it appears disengenious (which I'm sure you aren't). If it takes you longer than you had originally wanted to send a personalized TY, that's fine. Better late than never....

I would definitely write a little something to each person in addition to writing each persons name at the top.
