Quick question for Sept/oct. Brides who have gotten RSVP 'no's'
I only have gotten the first few 'yes's' and no 'no's' yet - so question for when they come.
Do those people send presents when they send the 'yes' or more closer to the wedding? Was curious if I should get some really nice TY cards now to send sooner than when we get the Thank You cards from our photographer...
Thanks!

we've been getting rsvp's everyday since we sent them. although they were mostly yes' with only about 15 no's we haven't gotten any gifts from anyone. i would wait until you send all of the thank you's & do them together.

hmm, okay cool. Just wouldn't want anyone to think 'hey - i sent a check and no thank you card?'
I'll wait then probably - TY

I would EXPECT that people send a check with a no.
(I don't mean I expect a gift, rather it seems etiquette states a no should be accompanied by a gift)
But that has not been my experience with the no's so far.
I would not EXPECT a gift with a 'yes'. I would certainly think people would give you a gift at the wedding, not with a yes RSVP.

I have gotten quite a few no's already. With about 8 of the no responses people put checks in the rsvp. For these people I sent out a quick thank you card to acknowledge I got their gift and I also plan on sending our actual thank you cards after the wedding.

We got the majority of our nos torwards the end. We only got one gift from someone who RSVPed no and I sent them a regular thank you card. I plan on sending them a photo one too when I send out the rest.

We actually got two presents before even sending our invitations from people who knew they couldn't come. We have not received gifts from anyone who has RSVPed no since.

yeah totally - know what you mean.
Well, I love the idea of sending the formal 'Thank You' later on - and then a quick 'dont worry - got your RSVP' thing now.
Thanks girls!

Some of the people who declined have sent us checks, although usually not with their RSVP cards. We've also received some gifts from people who will be attending.
I sent thank yous immediately. For those that are also coming to the wedding, I will send one of the photo thank yous to express our gratitude that they will be sharing our day.
