quick question (from a total newb!!)

So FH and I were talking about our bridal party, and we were wondering... is it more expensive to have a larger party? and if so, why? is it just because of limo space, gifts for them, and RD? or are there other surprise expenses associated with bridal parties that I'm not thinking of...

Those are the main ones - and they definitely add up. Also bouquets. And if you plan on paying for their hair/makeup that can be an added expense as well (although I'm not paying for my BM's hair/mu)

boKs are definitely an added expense. gifts. if ur buying them jewelery .

other then the expenses listed already, a bigger bridal party means more stress: more opinions & more schedules to have to work around.

same may say, well they are my friends/family but you have to remember that no matter who they are, when you are asking people to spend money their true colors really show.

Large bridal parties = more $$ spent.
You are paying for each extra person you add, bridesmaids will require dresses, hair/makeup, plus you need to account for extra limo space, plates at the wedding, and even BM/GM gifts.

and of course if you want to be really anal - you want to make sure there are an equal number of brides maids to groomsmen so your pictures will look even (ie 4 girls on 1 side, 4 guys on the other).

So yea - this is why I am not having any bridesmaids at my wedding (only 1 matron of honor and I am paying for her hair, dress, and makeup).
