My girls want to wear a tea length but my Mom is outraged. She keeps saying it's not formal enough. I think it's a preference you have to decide for yourself. I've been to weddings with both long & short dresses in th evening & it looked great either way.

I think it's fine, as long as the dress is slightly formal.

Technically, no - but I say wear whatever you want. If people can wear plunging necklines and backless evening dresses you can wear tea length.

I think it is totally ok. I prefer tea-length actually.

Go for it! I will be doing it, amidst raised eyebrows from mother and grandmother...but I love it!

My aunt gave me good advice -- she said the girls' dresses should match the 'formal-ness' of the bride's dress. I have seen informal and more formal-looking tea length dresses out there. I guess choosing ones that complement each other is the key....

or you can do whatever you feel like -- you are the bride!!!!

My FMIL is a bridal consultant (how convenient) and she said tea-length is 'IN' right now.

Yes its fine, I think. My girls are giving me the same problem, but I think you can wear whatever you want at any time. I love the tea lengths

My girls are wearing tea-length for a Friday night wedding. It is what they like and one they will be able to wear again. We are going to dress is up with accessories.
