Quick Question...ehh maybe not so quick

I'm sorry to post something like this being that many of you who are tired of it already, but I have a question. I love my mother-in-law and am already able to call her mom. We have an awesome relationship and I was just wondering how much do you include mothers/MIL in planning? There are some things I think should be done with a mother only. (ititial dress shopping) please let me know if I'm wrong. As it stands now my FH and I have done all of our planning. We picked the place (but took both sets of parents the night we went to book) and we booked our DJ without taking anyone to the appt. Are we wrong here? I was thinking we would book our florist and photographer by ourselves too but judging by some of your posts now I feel as if I'm being rude to my mom and MIL for not including them in more...Now I'm confused

I think it's fine that you booked your RH and DJ with just your FH. You seem to be doing things the right way, taking your/his parents along the night you went to book. You can prob book your photographer on your own too.

Your florist I would ask the moms to come along. Your FH prob won't have much to say in this area and it would be nice to get some other opinions, this is a nice way of including the moms just don't let them take over!!

You know your mom and FMIL and you should include them in what you feel comfortable doing. Since FH doesn't see your dress I think it's nice to include his mom as well as yours in that, even if you just show it to her after you've already ordered it.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with just you and your FH booking the florist, photographer and DJ yourselves. FH & I are doing all of the planning ourselves. My FMIL is awesome, she is so amazing and FH and I want to include her as much as possible, but she lives in Florida. After we do something wedding related we call her or email her pictures, this way she feels like she is part of the planning process.
