Quick question..need to know about Huntington..PLEASE help me!!
We are going into Long Island today to meet with Jack and Rose and we want to hang out afterwards, I posted this a few days ago but Have been really busy and havent gotten to check out Huntington,,it was suggested to me as a fun place, can anyone tell me exactly whats there? Is it a beach, are there bands outside? We are leaving in a few hours, dont know Long Island very well and want a fun place to spend the afternoon. Please if you can help me..Id be so happy!!! It's a nice size town, that has some great shops and a some nice restaurants. It's a good place to walk around and do some shopping.
They have bars that have live music, but I think it's just a Fri/Sat night thing...not sure.

Kathy..thankyou so much for responding!! Is there anywhere else you might suggest to go? We arent really into shopping so much today, we'd like to sit outside and maybe hear some good music, have some drinks? Im clueless and dont know where to go!! Thanks!!

There are lots of restaurants, but I doubt any of them will have live music now. Many of them have outdoors tables or slide open their doors. You may want to head on down to Cocos (New York Ave/RT 110) for brunch. It's right on the water.
There's Hecksher Park (east of the village on Main Street/RT 25A).
Cold Spring Harbor is quaint and is on RT 25A. Might be worth the short drive.

Looks like we may be heading over to CoCo's in a few. (FH is hungry.)
We were there last night and discussing how we need to go there more often for dinner and brunch, not just drinks.

I just called cocos and they have live music after 5, thats about when we may be getting there anyhow! Have no idea who the band is, but thats fine. What about Jones Beach? Im embarrassed to say Ive never been, but but heard alot about it! Long Island is so beautiful!! Jenbaby..I will tell jack hi from you! and jenny 5150..thanks!!! Maybe we'll see ya there!!

Jones beach is on the opposite end of the Island. My suggestion would be to snoop around Huntington and go to Co-Cos. It's right on the water.

oh ok..thanks!! We dont mind a drive..we dont have to stay close to woodbury..but I guess that would probably be better. Cocos looks great actually! I think we'll have a good time there. It looks like a dressy place..Im bummin it today..hardly got ready..maybe I should try and do something with myself. Thanks so much for your advice!
