We did not put a location. I didn't want it to look wordy (we had a calendar). I would write Long Island, New York

I know since we're getting married and having the reception at the same place, we will be writing Woodbury, NY. In your case, I would write Long Island, NY

I think if anything 'Long Island, NY' is good. Unless it's a destination, or in a different location, I don't think it has to be there. Although, if you have hotel information already, you can include that on the STD..this is the one thing I wish I had done since it's a holiday and I want to make sure people get hotel rooms ahead of time, but at least I put my wedding website on the STD and I will list hotel info there so fingers crossed that people check it lol

I put the city of the church...mainly because the venue is in New Hyde Park and I'd rather any of our family coming from out of town stay closer to our home in Carle Place rather than the venue all the way in New Hyde Park, and there's a wider choice of hotels here.

If we decide to put the location on I would put the town of the reception, NY. I think the reception is better cause not everyone goes to the church.
