Quick story

So I am in BBB yesterday buying a friend a shower gift. I went up to the registry counter to have them print it out for me and the girl behind the counter who must have been in her early 20's notices my e-ring and comments on how much she liked it and how original it was. I politely say thank you so much and she continues going on and on and then rubs her fingers across my diamond

Now believe me, I do not have some giganto ring that people have to touch to make sure its real. SO I was very suprised by her decision to rub her fingers all over my ring.

I should have said something but I did not want to be rude and she was really sweet but you could tell she had no clue that she should not be doing that.

Anyone ever have a weird or funny experience with someone else and their ring?

Why would she want to rub your diamond? That sounds weird. I've only had people ask to try on my ring and it's been people I know.

Thats very odd and random - she has boundary issues...

Like the old women you see in the clothing store who just gets too close....

or is that a whole other story...

some people just dont understand RUDE!!

i had someone ask me if i was upset at the size of my ring cuz she wouldnt accept anything of this size from her boyfriend if he proposed.

i also had someone ask me if she could TRY IT ON!!

granted i knew both of these people very well.. but i mean REALLY!!

i also had someone ask me if she could TRY IT ON!!

granted i knew both of these people very well.. but i mean REALLY!!

Thanks Meg, and that first comment might be one of the rudest I have heard in a long time. Its a girl like that that will never get a ring or will get one from someone she doesn't love. Poor girl to be so nieve

No she didn't. But I was yearning for one before i had one too and I knew better than to rub my greasy paws on someones diamond

some people just dont get... the personal space thing!

she caught herself after saying it and shes like i dont mean to put your ring down i think its really pretty and my response was LIER! luckly i have a good sense of humor so i just laughed it off... but i mean really who does that kinda stuff!

sometimes i wish it was ok to SLAP strangers!

yea a SPIT shine!

I have had people, some of whom I just met, look at my ring and then touch the stones.

FH's great aunt actually tapped the center stone with her nail as she was telling me some story. I thought I was going to have a sh!tfit.
