Quote: 'Something....

'Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.'

Does this means I have to have on my wedding day Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue?
Like a Old Bra, New dress, borrowed veil and a blue thong?
LOL im sorry i just dont know how that works!

How does this works?

Yup, that's pretty much how it works. For me so far:
Something Old - handkercheif
Something New - the dress
Something borrowed - possibly my day of jewelry
Something blue - not sure yet, maybe the jewelry also, or decals on my shoes, or something sewn into my dress.

Do this help sweets?

Re: Quote: 'Something....

the actual quote goes like this

Something old, something new. Something borrowed, something blue. And a silver sixpence in her shoe

the silver sixpence in her shoe dates back to olden times when in England, a sixpence, signifies wealth in the marriage. today, a penny can be substituted in the US and taped under the shoe, not actually put into the shoe.

something old can be anything - like underwear
something new is the dress
something borrowerd can be literally anything. have on of the BM wear a bobby pin and then ask to borrow it. done.
something blue can be your garter

I was told that it was supposed to be something you had with you when you walked down the aisle.

I did:

Old -- an antique locket that belonged to my Great Grandmother with a picture of my Grandfather in it. I attached it to my bo-k.

New -- my wedding attire

Borrowed -- a bracelet

Blue -- my garter
