I want to compile pictures of my family members and friends on their wedding days and just in casual 'romantic' poses to make a collage for the reception. I also want to have quotes (by them and famous quotes) to put in the collage.
My question is about putting it all together. If anyone has done this can you please let me know how and if it was a nightmare.
Also my idea is to ask my guests to send me their pictures and some sort of story about how they met their spouse when I send my save the dates, but I'm afraid no one with respond . . .
Has anyone done this? Good experience? Bad? Help!!!!

Re: Quotes and Family pictures
You could ask whoever is n charge of your shower to ask people to bring pictures of themselves and a story. It may be an easy way to get a lot of them.

Were you planning on using the actual pictures in the collage, or scanning them and then manipulating the pics on the computer? I would suggest doing this so you don't ruin the pictures, and you can change things around as many times as you want.

Re: Quotes and Family pictures
My parents are hosting an after party at their house. My mom took every family wedding picture she could find and put them in frames around the house. It's neat to see the different styles over the years.
We're not displaying any family wedding pictures at our reception. FH's parents are divorced and it would just feel uncomfortable to have pictures up there.

Re: Quotes and Family pictures
I am doing something like this at our wedding - but with family pics. We have a few that date back to the turn of the century and are so vintage and beautiful.
This months Martha Stewart had a beautiful DIY project where she strung the frmed pictures down a thick thread of ribbon and hung them from the wall - it looks so pretty!
