My second day was GREAT! I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop though Bad habit from my old teaching job where everyday was a complete nightmare. I had a little trouble with the first graders, but for the most part, they were good How was Scotty's second day? Oh, and by the way...... I MISS YOU!

Re: RAAAAACHELLLLLLLLL

Think positive...this is a whole new job, with children that don't need restraints

Scotty's 2nd day was good! He woke up this morning and said he couldn't wait to go on the bus However tonight at bedtime, he said he didn't like kindergarten because he has to go to bed too early

I MISSSSS YOUUUUU TOOOOOOOOO

Re: RAAAAACHELLLLLLLLL

I had such a hard time getting the first graders to sing today, because they keep telling them that they're 'big kids' now, that they are done with Kindergarten, so all the songs I wanted to sing they already sang in Kindergarten and they would say, 'That's for little kids!' I just wanted to scream, HELLO! YOU ARE LITTLE!

That's really cute about the going to bed early thing, but at least he is looking forward to the bus

I give you alot of credit...I LOVE kids, but don't know if I'd be able to deal with 20 of them all day long

Re: RAAAAACHELLLLLLLLL

Well, I could never be a classroom teacher. I could not be in the same room with the same kids all day. I have different kids all day long, and just as they are annoying me, DING DING! the bell rings and my time with them is over I like it also because this school gives me a chance to do other things. The music position alone was not enough to keep the job full time, but they liked me so they made it full time for me by giving me challenge groups. It's where I pull small groups of kids from the lower school and either do remedial work with them or if they are accelerated then I do extra work to push them ahead. It should be fun, and I don't plan for it, the head of the lower school does the planning, I just implement it. Wow, how did I get on that tangent? Sorry!
