I was quoted $850 for a rabbi to marry us at the hall...is this typical?
Sorry I messed up the poll...I closed it.

Re: Rabbi fees
Our Rabbi is charging us $900. I almost fell out of my chair when he told us. I think its pretty high, but I was just hoping for something less costly.

Re: Rabbi fees
I was quoted at $850 as well and I alsio got an attitude from him. I am now going to get married by a cantor who is charging us $350. What a difference!

Re: Rabbi fees
Ours charged $800. I thought it was high because he was doing interfaith.

I've read that interfaith officiants charge more...but I'm having trouble with the $850...seems like so much money!

Re: Rabbi fees
these fees are ridiculous - what exactly are they for? the high fee?
My FH is in charge of finding the rabbi or cantor....we only budgeted a few hundred - I better inform him! My priest certainly isn't charging us anywhere near as much as that.....we are interfaith.

Re: Rabbi fees
A friend referred me to her Rabbi, and he's not charging me anything. He told me I can give him whatever I like and that he gives it to charity. I think we'll give him around $350 or $400.

Re: Rabbi fees
Our rabbi is charging us $650 and he's great! I looked all over for a rabbi and he was by far the nicest and most straightforward one that we had met. FM me if you'd like more deatils, I'd highly recommend him.
