OOOh yes....I am pretty sure I remember this rabbi - we were going to hire him to do our service, but he turned out to be VERY rude to us... He was a Harbor Club vendor but we were one of many people who complained about him, so he was taken off the list....
When setting up a meeting with him, he had us meet him at a diner... He ordered a cup of coffee, which wound up to be on us (we had DH's daughters with us at the time, so we ordered them ice cream - but I thought it odd that he never asked if we wanted him to throw in a buck for the coffee, but thats besides the point...)
We discussed fees, and we were going to set it up - I told him my dad would contact him since he was paying for the wedding. He gave us a card, but the address had a po box #. I gave it to my dad the next day.
My dad asked me if we could get a real address to send the check to, because as a business man, he has had bad experiences with po box #s. I called the rabbi, exaplined the situation to him. He got huffy with me. He asked me what did I mean, and he never had a problem with someone sending the deposit to the po box # before. I was very nice and explained that my dad had bad experiences, and if it wouldn't be too much of a bother, could he provide an alternate address as back up.
He then said, ' You know, I thought you were going to pay me the deposit when we met at the diner' (Um - hello - I don't just hire people at diners upon meeting them for the 1st time.)
He then told me if I didn't like it, I could find someone else to marry us. I said, 'OK, thanks - I will.'
I then found Rabbi Alan Stein, who was AWESOME....
I called the Harbor Club, and they said they have heard things about him like that from other people.

Also - you couldnt reach him directly - he only had voice mail. You would have to call, leave a message, and then he would call you right back. I also thought that was a buit odd. I was going to hire him because I thought he'd be the only interfaith Rabbi that would marry us on a Saturday... I was wrong...

Ugh, that stinks!
He was recommended by my hall and I really thought it would work out since he's so close to my reception site....
Any recommendations on a Reform Rabbi?
