Hi! Has anyone been out there pricing Rabbis? I have gotten a few quotes of $750 or more - is this normal?

Re: Rabbi pricing
I believe it's on the high side of the normal range, but I could be wrong.

Re: Rabbi pricing
I got pricing from $450-$500. That seemed like average. I got two one for $750 and one for $800. Keep searching.

Re: Rabbi pricing
the usual honorarium (we dont say fee) for a rabbi or cantor on long island is usually anywhere between 600-1200.
you are not just paying for the 20-30 mins of the service, you are also paying for the hours that we spend meeting with the couple and for the time we take to put your ceremony together.

Re: Rabbi pricing
We got married at a temple that was not ours so we had to pay that temple's rabbi 700 to stay home. Our rabbi and cantor performed our ceremony as a gift to us.

Re: Rabbi pricing
Ours was my DH's childhood rabbi. We paid $450 to the temple, not the rabbi. And he met with us twice before the ceremony...

Re: Rabbi pricing
Our cantor was about $450-500. He did an amazing job and had an amazing voice. His name was Cantor Harris Cohen and he is a vendor on here. I highly recommend him.
