Radisson Holtsville

Just married & back from the honeymoon. I don't really post much--but will post a wedding review (because I love to read them!!)once I get some pictures back. Anyway--just wanted to give a warning to those planning on blocking rooms at the Holtsville Radisson (Exit 62). I blocked my rooms about 8 months in advance & booked the hotel bar for an after party--this entailed me paying the bartender's overtime--from 11-2AM on a Sunday night--day before presidents day. To make a long story short when I arrived at the hotel on my wedding night they had given my suite to my dad the prior night (since they didn't have a room for him)--but told him repeatedly that this was not MY suite--so not to worry. They didn't have another suite for me--which was really not that big of a deal--since there suites aren't anything special--but they also told me that they had no knowledge of me booking the bar & that it would be impossible to do that--After I have about 40+ guests waiting to go to the bar!!--Luckily my husbands unkle slipped the bartender some money & he said he would stay--although he gave us attitude the entire time. They did comp my room & offered to give me a free night on my 1 year anniverssary.--But in the AM I decided to see if my credit card was charged--AND IT WAS--FOR THE SUITE RATE!!!--The manager was somewhat rude and unapologetic. They had also told me that they would wave the overtime bar payment--however that charge has STILL not been removed. So just be careful with this hotel!!!
