I haven't tried either yet. I think I'll try the second one; the first recipe calls for 8 eggs and 4 sticks of butter-yipes! It must make a zillion cookies!!

Re: Rainbow cookies?
My mom used to make these all the time. They look so hard to make. I want to try, but it looks like it's so time comsuming.

Re: Rainbow cookies?
I have a recipe somewhere, I just need to find it. I made them once and they take a long time to make, but were very good.

Re: Rainbow cookies?
I tried to make them and it came out so bad. It was easier for me to buy them. But my friend makes them and hers came out so delicous.

Re: Rainbow cookies?
I have made these twice so far and I used a recipe similar to the first one that ss2002 posted. They came out great and I got a lot of compliments on them. There are a lot of steps but it's very easy to make.

Re: Rainbow cookies?
My SIL makes them every year and they are awesome!! About the egg/butter comment... unfortunately it doesnt make a tremendous amount, they are just super fattening! Oh well, most desserts are... doesn't stop me from eating them, just gotta hit the treadmill for an extra 30 minutes!
