LOL...shmoopie is my nickname for my daughter. I'm not sure where it originated from...I just started calling her that one day!

Yes, one of my favorite episodes! Seinfeld and his girlfriend kept saying, 'YOU'RE shmoopie ...No, YOU'RE shmoopie, No, YOU'RE shmoopie, etc.' and it was making everyone around them sick. Joe and I thought it was so funny and started calling each other shmoopie so much just to make each other laugh and then it stuck. I thought maybe that's what Jim was trying to recall.

LMAO....now I remember that!!
And here I was thinking I made that pet-name up all by myself! I guess Seinfeld has more of an influence in my life than I thought! My FH will be so happy!

Joe and I called each other that nickname for so long that we also totally forgot where it originated from until we saw the rerun. Too funny. It's adorable that you call your daughter shmoopie though. I hope I didn't ruin your little 'original' pet name. Too funny.
