I know most of us are going on extravagant HM's - are you all wearing your E-ring and the band or buying something different when you go away....

I plan on wearing the E-ring and the band, but when I go on the beach and for any excursions I'll lock up the ring in the safe in our room. I did that when we went on vacation... I was sooo afraid of it falling of in the ocean

I think most hotels have safes in their rooms now. If not then they have a safety deposit at the front desk you can rent if needed, but I'm positive you'll have a safe in the room. They have to b/c people always bring valuables, extra money, passports, etc they need to lock away.

I was contemplating this too--especially since my e-ring is a bit loose and FH was terrified when we went parasailing on vacation last year. A friend of mine actually bought a simple wedding ring to wear to her HM so she wouldn't have to worry about it.

I want to bring mine w/ me.. but I get so scared even w/ the safes esp in Europe. Can they be broken into? I have such a fear!! I may get CZ ring set to wear.. who knows.

on my HM I left my e ring and wedding band in the safe during the day and wore it at n ight..>I didn't have any problem! I also met a couple who just got married and the woamn wore her rings everywhere! SO i think it will be fine.

I never leave my jewelry behind! It's like a part of my body! I'm definitely taking my ering, band, and diamond studs!!!!!!

Guess none of you have ever had the 'scare'.
I thought I had lost my e-ring when I took off & threw out my gloves at work.
I went through garbage for 3 HOURS. While looking, many of the janitors had told me that it happens all the time & most people never find the ring.
I found the ring (fell off at home, in couch)...but I had become so sick with sadness/worry I realized I would NEVER take my ring on risky trips.
I personally know someone mugged for her ring.
There are things that you can't avoid: BUT: you won't see ANY ring on my finger during my HM. If you ask me: t's just not worth the risk.

I will definitely be wearing my e-ring and wedding ring. They are insured so although I'd be really upset if something happened to them, I at least have that piece of mind.

I wouldn't trust the hotel room safe..... I hear a good portion of the time, there are several key copies and the staff notoriously break into them.
I would either keep the ring on my finger, or leave it at home.
In my case, the ring won't fall off easily, so it'll be on me at all times

I agree with you, not only I'm afraid of it falling of in the ocean, a fish (like barracuda) can mistakenly thinks the sparkling of our jewelry as a bait and the next thing you know you have no fingers or arm (of course I'm probably exaggerating but thats how I feel)
