Random acts of kindness

Random acts of kindness

It's nice to know they still exist in this world. Yesterday while driving home from work I got a flat. My lovely DH drove to help me, since I've never changed a flat before. My car jack sucked, and DH was having trouble. This really nice guy pulled over to help. He lent us his jack and helped John change the tire. It was really nice of him... he got nothing out of it and just wanted to help. It made a crappy day just a little bit better.

I like to think that I would also pull over to help someone.

Re: Random acts of kindness

That is always a pick me up when someone does something kind for another person. Sometimes it feels like a cold world. Yesterday when I was leaving work I tripped and twisted my ankle and not one person even so much as flinched. Hello I am in the city with all of these people around and no one cares.

Nice to hear there are nice people in this world. I consider myself to want to help someone in need. Although I could never change a tire!

I'm sorry you tripped! Doesn't it especially suuck to trip and fall as an adult? I hate falling. I feel so stupid!

I'm so sorry someone didn't help you out!

NYers can be that way sometimes - Not bleeding or crying? Good, I have other shiit to do, get up yourself!

I know,it ***** being a clutzy adult. Believe me I was embarrassed enough I was fine that no one stopped, but it is just the point, ya know.

I have heard of worse things that happend and no one helped. I just think it is crazy but hey whatever!

Wow that was so nice. I don't help strangers - I watch too much L&O/CSI type TV - I don't trust ANYONE

Your good samaritan story made me think of one I could share. One time during a big snowstorm my mom and I were driving home. I was driving my car when all of a sudden my windshield wiper broke off. I found an auto parts store but I was having a heck of a time putting on the new wiper. (and mom is pretty useless with these things) I had never done it before of that car and it was snowing so hard and it was so cold. This nice man just came over with no gloves on to help. It took him like 10 minutes to put it on but he did. He said it was all frozen and it wasn't my inexperience that was at fault. What a nice man!
