My florist made sure I did the same exact thing when we were figuring out what colors to use. He handed me a boquet and told me to hold it - then corrected me. And he said he'd be highly offended if I held it the wrong way so that I couldn't show off my lovely dress!

I recall reading something similar - that most brides tend to hold the bouquet too high - at the bustline, and you should be holding it lower, at the waist.
