My computer took like 4 nanoseconds to load instead of 1 like it usually does so I got frustrated.
Then I thought, imagine if I still had dial up?
Then I started thinking about Prodigy and CompuServe. Wow. Old Skool!

i was actually thinking about dial up the other day...remember there were times you couldn't even get on, and you would always get kicked off

even worse, remember when you had to update your aol or you wanted to upload a new program and it would take HOURS and now its like 5 minutes.

Also, remember when AOL first started and you could get 5 free hours as a trial??? Now they give you like a few MONTHS free.....or something like that!
I remember we had 10 free hours of AOL and my mom would actually time us to make sure we didn't go over the free trial.

omg i totally had Prodigy---that weird pentagram looking star logo. lol
i remember when the internet first started before the WWW was perfect and you had to use FTP sites and Newgroups to read stuff (like alt.news.entertainment)

I don't even remember how to get on that thing. It wasn't through a webpage ... I think it was like a FTP thing? But I used to go on ALL THE TIME and talk to these people I didn't know. On the #tori channel, for Tori Amos -- who I still like but I now do not care to speak to other fans about :)

I hated that!!!!! Thank God technology has advanced to cell phones & DSL/cable!
