I'M a related topic.

I'm other - I would rather work odd hours. Like write all evening into the night. I could do that probably six days a week and be happy because I can still go out if I want to and sleep late. Sleeping late is really key for me.

eta - ew, I read my thread. I was such a sap that week. to me.

I'd loooove to have 3-day weekends so I'm going with that. Time off to just chill is the best.

I actually had a situation like this for 4 years. After I had my son I told my job I couldn't work on Friday's b/c I didn't have anyone to watch him on Friday's since school was way too expensive. Wasn't true he was in school 5 days a week but I figured I better negotiate for what I want before I come back since someone else in the office also had Friday's off. The job was ehh but I made the same money for working 5 days but I worked 4. I loved the three day weekends so I guess I was able to deal for four years in that job. I would say that if you can deal it's great for planning vacations and it helps with holidays that fall on Monday then you get 4 day weekends. I would take the job that offered more money less days than have a 5 day a week job that I liked for less. You can always take the day off to look for a 5 day job for more money and enjoy the three day weekends while you can.
