I noticed on BHB someone asked about gifts for parents.

Someone answered their gift was the parent albums.

My parent albums came with my package so I didn't even consider it a gift, but I guess it is.


My question is, is anyone having their parents pay for their own albums? Or is everyone just paying for it in a package like I am?

I'm only wondering because my fiance and I are paying for the wedding ourselves and I just assumed I'm supposed to buy it - *and I'm going to*.. I just wanted to see if that is what everyone else is doing.

I plan of paying for the parents album. For me, I consider it 'a gift' to the parents, but not 'the gift' that I'm going to present to them. That's just my personal preference

well I am not planning on getting wedding albums as part of our package. I am planning on doing albums on shutterfly for both our parents that include our e-pics along with the wedding pics.

On top of that, we are going to get them a little something else, we just don't know what yet.

We are also paying for the entire wedding ourselves but We are buying the albums..I actually never thought of them as a 'gift'..but before this site I never thought to get them something else either

We are also paying for the entire wedding ourselves but We are buying the albums..I actually never thought of them as a 'gift'..but before this site I never thought to get them something else either

yeah I never thought of it as a gift either!

I don't think you're expected to get them a gift unless they're paying for things.
My parents bought my dress so I may get them something, but I'm not going crazy either.

ITA im paying for my wedding also and i think my parents r paying for my dress and giving me a gift of whatever it is they can afford... so im not going to go crazy with a gift just something small... along w/ the albums

Same with us! The photo package without the parent albums were so much more economical so we are going to make our own through shutterfly or another site as well. The albums you can make through those photo sites are beautiful!! And you can even get albums that are leather, which is probably what we will do.

We're going to do the same. I will include our parents albums in my photography package and pay for them, but also get them another gift.

I will be giving my parents an album but its not going to count as a gift since it would be like they are paying for their own gift.

Since we on this thought.... besides the album, what else do plan on gifting your parents?

I'm also giving my parents an album but it won't be their 'gift' either since they are paying for the photography package! i'm very happy to be so lucky!! i'd love to think of something meaningful to give to them though.
