OK, so I have never worn a pair of spanx in my life however I was thinking that maybe because my dress is form fitting I would want something for my midsection so that if I drink or eat I don't look bloated, not to mention everyone is takes pictures of you so if they catch me at a bad moment- ugh!
so my question is..do they sell something that just kinda goes around your midsection or do they only come as shorts, one pieces, bar attached contraptions???

girl!!! i do not think you need that!!
I do not recommend getting one that only does the midsection...also, it WILL make you smaller, so if your dress is already fitted to you, it may cuase the dress to be big on you
I find the best results with the one that goes down to your thigh/knee
the ones that only do your belly, I feel they 'chunk' you around the thigh area, they make a little bulge
if you decide to do it, get it and wear it at home, its not the most comfortable thing, so you may not be happy in it all day on your wedding
target sells a brand called Assets, which is much cheaper than spanx and does the job just as well just an fyi so you dont spend too much money on something you might not use again.

ITA. If the spanx are for piece of mind then I totally get it, but trust us when we say that you don't need them!!!
Oh, but if you are going to get one, don't get the thong spanx. They are the most uncomfortable things ever.
