Had I known I had to show up to win a ring when I originally apply for the prize I wouldnt have bothered.
I feel gipped.
Ok.. done ranting. Just really disappointed. I would have tried to make it but life has been hectic.. and I feel left out of LIW stuff as it is.

I thought it was written in the beginning that you had to be present. I entered, though I was 90% sure I wouldn't show, and we were busy and didn't. Anyway, hope all is well!

They did say in the beginning when it was announced that you must be present to win.
I feel your pain though..i'm in VA and its hard for me to get home for things..i think they need to do an out of town liweddings prize van, lol!! One can wish!

You did have to be present to win and they did tell you that in the contest rules. If they called your name and you werent there, you wouldnt have won.

Yeah. I'm sorry I had to miss it. I was ready to go with my LIW T-shirt and everything, but I had to deal with some other stuff Congrats to Hollie though!
What I didn't like about the contest was that it had nothing to do with the content of the entry, which is why I didn't even enter until later. They said it was about the content, but then when is aw you had to be present to win, and they said it would be a 'drawing', I knew it wouldn't be.

Yeah...it was more like a drawing... It's one thing to say you had to be there to win...it's another to just pull names out of a hat. What we wrote really didn't even matter... I could have wrote I loved FH...just because and I could have won.

TRUE It WAS a drawing but the owner of Elsa's DID say that all of the entries were read and it was too difficult to choose between all of them. That could have been a bunch of BS. Hard to say. The contest was sponsored by LIW, Elsa's and some other organization that (and you can correct me if I am wrong) runs relationship seminars for engaged, newlywed or long married couples. The kind of seminar that so many of our guys would line up for.
