hypothetically, if u were a bridesmaid and not asked to pay for anything at the shower, how much would u spend for a shower gift? i know it depends but im trying to find an average lol.

I think for my sister's I spent about 100 total, but part of that included all the supplies for the shower games. That was all I was asked to pay for, and the cost was split with my other sister, so was pretty minimal.
Before we judge, I was still in school and waiting tables. I know it should have been much more.

I really go on how close I am with the person or if I see a gift that I just 'have' to get them. It could be anywhere from $50-300.

my bp (4 girls) bought all of my luggage... so about $100 per girl ... very generous IMO... considering they have to buy their dresses, pay for hair/makeup, stay in a hotel etc etc

If I were a BM and didnt have to pay ANYTHING... prob like $125. I normally try to spend about $50-100 on gifts at showers...depends
Edited to add: Also depends on how close your bachelorette party is to the bridal shower.... b/c normally the BMs have to chip in again for limo and drinks for the bride... so it also depends on what the BMs money situation is

I think any BM - no matter what they have to pay for - as long as those things aren't absurd should spend at least $100
I am just saying that because I would spend no less than $50 on anyones shower gift and obviously your BM are much closer than that

I was in that situation and ended up spending about $120 (on the shower gift) more on the wedding gift.
