That was really insensitive of this person to do. You should bring her in some baked goods to work. It has the bonus of making you look like your doing something nice, but really you're feeling her fatty calories, oops

Random vent about co-worker - Long Island Weddings

That is extremely insensitive of that girl. My father has Tourettes also, and as a teenager, I noticed a friend who also had tics. I did want to ask him about them, not to embarrass him, but to ask if he knew that there was a TS support group for teens. I made sure to wait until we were alone for that very reason.

I'd pull the co-worker aside and just explain to her that your tics do not define you, and you'd appreciate her not pointing them out in public anymore. I'd even go so far as to say 'If you have any questions about my tics or Tourettes, you are more than welcome to ask them. I realize that your daughter has similar tics, and maybe you are not as educated as you'd like to be, so I'd love to help with my knowledge on the subject'. That makes you clear that it not a topic you want to discuss around other people, but it also adds that little jab I think she deserves!
