Hello Ladies!!

I am working hard towards my next checks and I am getting close! Just had a couple random wedding questions. Fell free to FM me if you'd rather discuss pricing on the side.

1. I know you can negotiate pricing for venue, dj, etc. Can you negotiate for a photographer too? I know someone who got a lower quote than I did at the same studio and I was to use that as leverage but want to make sure that's the norm.

2. I received a quote from a makeup artist that is $100 for day of makeup for bride and the bridesmaids and a 4 person minimum. Is this pretty standard? I was under the impression bridesmaid makeup is cheaper that the bride's. Not sure if I feel comfortable asking my girls to spend that much just so I can use this person! lol

Idk about the make up price... I havent started looking into that yet.

If you go to more than 1 vendor you can always use their prices against eachother. No one wants to lose business to their competitor, just make sure you tell the truth! Most photogs know eachother...

As for makeup, I don't know about negotiating but I know you can get it for less! Especially if you are including BM's! Ask for a discount based off of how many girls you bring to her.

Normally the bride is more money than the bridesmaids. My girl is charging me the same as the bridesmaids ($75) because I have been using her for a long time.

Everything is negotiable. I was able to negotiate alot for my florist based on the quote I got from someone else. But make sure you are not fibbing because it is not unheard of for the vendor to ask to see the quote to confirm!

Pretty much, everything is negotiable. A lot of vendors will lower their prices if you pay them cash.

As for makeup, that's a pretty standard price. When you think about it, after your wedding, only the pictures will remain, and if you have an amazing makeup artist, what's $100 in the grand scheme of things?

I'm paying $225 for my makeup, its being airbrushed by an amazing makeup artist, and although it's a bit pricey, I think it's worth it.
