Random wedding-related questions I have.........

1- Where do you get placecards from? The hall, with your invites or elsewhere?

2- Do RH's provide directions and hall information cards for free? When do they give them to you?

3- Are church programs really necessary?

I think some halls may provide basic place cards but we bought ours (5 bucks a pack at Michael's - they match our colors).

Our reception site provided free direction cards.

We're not doing programs.

I was thinking of buying the placecards myself to match as well.

I figured the hall provides the direction cards, but had to ask lol

I personally find no use for church programs....do NOT take that personal AT ALL. Some people love the extra touch and all, but I feel like all of my close frriends and family know who I am, who my FH is and knows anyone else that is important, which really is US LOL In the end, if our parents want them, of course we'll do them..if not, one less thing!

I dont think programs are necessary... most of the weddings i have been to did not have them. I doubt people are going to miss them. I feel like if its there people will take it, if its not their people wont notice.. But if you want that personal touch, go for it

Our hall provided them but I would have had to write the names in and my handwriting *****. So I bought the packets from Michaels from Garter Studios and printed them out. They came out great!

We're getting place cards, direction cards, and menus from our RH....and using them

We got the directional cards when we booked with them (but if you haven't, ask if they have them)

We're doing programs because we're having like a full mass in our language, so we're translating it in the program so those who don't speak/understand our language can have some idea of what's going on
